CHAPTER 1 – You Know Me, I'll Be Fine (You Know Me, That's A Lie)
I sat at the little table in my small apartment, counting out the tips I'd received from the night's work. It was probably five in the morning. I'd been working the night shifts at the same bar for a couple years now. Most people didn't leave tips, but when they did, I got to keep them. I counted out fifteen dollars and thirty-five cents. I smiled to myself as I stood and moved over to my bed. I pulled out a small box from underneath. Opening it, I added the money to the cash that was already there. It wasn't much, but it was all I had. Kinda like the apartment itself. I
